I wanted to share my recent journey with integrating Homebridge on my QNAP NAS to connect with Hubitat. While the process was a bit daunting at first, it’s been incredibly rewarding to see everything come together. Here’s a quick rundown of my setup and some insights I’ve gathered along the way:

Homebridge Setup: I successfully installed Homebridge on my NAS and connected my older Nest account (including Nest Protects) using the HB Nest plugin. While Nest Hello doorbells are still a bit tricky, I’m hopeful for future updates!

Device Integration: I’ve been working on integrating my Velux Skylights (controlled via Netatmo) and Arlo Basestation into HomeKit. The skylights are a game-changer for ventilation and air quality monitoring, and it’s amazing to see them work seamlessly with my smart home setup.
