Homekey disappeared on u100 lock

My lock had been functioning well for the past couple of years with zero issues. It went offline 2 days ago and after removing and replacing batteries, it’s working again but no more homekey. So now, we cannot use Apple watch or iPhone to lock/unlock by simply placing it close to the lock. Fingerprint and keypad still works. I can see the lock on my Apple Homekit.

@neil_martinez I’m sorry to hear about the issues with your HomeKey feature on the U100 lock. When the lock goes offline and you replace the batteries, sometimes the HomeKey needs to be re-enabled. Here’s what you can try to restore the Apple HomeKey functionality:

  1. Re-add the Lock to HomeKit: Since you can see the lock on your Apple HomeKit, try removing and re-adding it. Open the Apple Home app, remove the lock, and then add it back by selecting “Add Accessory” and scanning the HomeKit code.

  2. Enable Apple HomeKey: After re-adding the lock to HomeKit, ensure the HomeKey function is enabled. You can check this in the lock’s settings within the Apple Home app. Sometimes, a manual adjustment is necessary.

  3. Firmware Update: Make sure the lock’s firmware is up to date, as updates might resolve connectivity issues or bugs affecting the HomeKey feature.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it might be best to contact the Customer Service Team for further assistance. You can reach them through the Aqara Home App (Profile > Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or by scanning the QR code below:

Hi, Thanks for your message.
IF: Missing Home Key card after the update
If your Home Key card disappears, update your iPhone and HomePod to iOS/tvOS 18.4.1 or later. Then, use the new feature called “Restore Home Key Access” to bring it back.
