Hi everyone, I’m reaching out for some help with an issue I’m experiencing with my Homematic CCU. I noticed recently that the CPU usage is spiking to 100%, which is causing some instability in the system. I wanted to share what I’ve found so far and see if anyone has any insights or suggestions.
The problem started a few weeks ago, and I’ve been trying to pinpoint the cause. I noticed that when a specific program runs every two minutes, the CPU usage jumps to 100%. The program in question retrieves the volume level from my Hi-Fi receiver and adjusts the height of a roller blind accordingly. While the program itself seems straightforward, it’s causing a significant strain on the system.
I’ve tried disabling the program, and the CPU usage drops to around 80%, which is an improvement but still higher than I’d like. I also noticed that when I disable cuxd entirely, the CPU usage drops further, which suggests that cuxd might be contributing to the issue. However, I’m not entirely sure how to proceed from here.
Looking at the logs, I see a lot of warnings and errors related to missing values and XML-RPC transport errors. I’m not entirely sure how to interpret these logs, but I suspect they might be related to the program causing the CPU spikes. I’ve included some snippets from the logs below if anyone can help me make sense of them.
I’m wondering if there’s a way to optimize the program to reduce the CPU load or if there’s a configuration issue with cuxd that I’m missing. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’m happy to provide more details or try out any troubleshooting steps you might suggest.
Thanks in advance for your help and expertise!
