I wanted to share an incredible experience that happened recently, thanks to Home Assistant. I set up an alarm system that sends me a message with a picture whenever someone enters our driveway. We had just left the house when I received an alert. Looking at the camera streams, I saw someone checking all the windows. I asked via the doorbell what they were doing, and they ran off. We turned around and called the police. The suspect hid in some cornfields, but the police eventually found and arrested him—he was wanted in several countries. Home Assistant not only prevented a burglary but also helped the police catch a criminal. It’s amazing how technology can make a difference in keeping our homes safe.
