Hi - I’ve never changed the batteries in my aqara door sensors and I’m just curious how long they typically last. The battery indicator just says “normal” which isn’t very helpful. I’ve never changed them out and I’ve had them about three years now.

I have one on the front door, died after 6 months. Another on the conservatory door keeps going for 7 months now.

I have a bunch of the door sensors some for 3 years, never changed a battery yet. The Consumables Overview in the Aqara app shows every sensor as “Sufficient Battery”, not the best gauge I know. Some of the older ones must be running out but like I said, going on 3 years and still ticking.

I have about 10 door sensors since 2.5 years and no battery changed.

I used too change them on average every 3 months. Aqara did many updates an its much better now. I also put energizer Lithium batteries and I’m well over 1 year with them and I use the door several times a day for sure. Yes, the batteries are expensive to purchase, but I think I save money in the end because I’m not changing them all the time not to mention the frustration. \

2 years and still no better change yet… I’m wondering how much longer they will last as well.

I’ve never changed the batteries on any of mine (I have 9) and most are older than 3 years.

I’ve had to change most of mine after 4-5 years. The battery indication didn’t announce it, but they started losing connection every now and then, and battery replacement solved that
My sensor is almost 3 years old, I haven’t changed the battery yet.

I haven’t changed batteries since 2021, 9 pieces, only one sensor was replaced.
