Can someone let me know how to add FP2 to home Assistant via Matter?

The FP2 doesn’t support Matter. It is HK only. However, you can add it directly to HA using the HK code. If it is in Apple Home already, then remove it from Apple Home, add it into Home Assistant and then using either Matterbridge/Matter Hub or the HomeKit bridge you can share it back to Apple Home.

I have it set up exactly as described by @siobhanellis and it works perfectly fine

My experience was that I had to add it to Aqara app first, then Home, then delete from home. At that point it may or may not show up to be added to Home Assistant. It’s been over a year since I added two of the FP sensors. I left mine in Home and in the Aqara app because the sensing grid is much easier to configure and adjust. They are bridged to HA and it all works great. In my use case, I need very fast detection and a signal to HA to trigger automation. Right now there can be up to one second latency, sometimes more, and at least some of that may be attributed to how many hops it takes for a signal to get to HA. YMMV! Good luck.
