I stumbled upon a clever workaround where you can use Alexa’s countdown timer feature to delay the lights from turning off. Here’s how it works: when the automation is about to trigger, Alexa will announce, “The kitchen lights will turn off in 1 minute.” If someone is still in the kitchen, they can simply say, “Alexa, cancel the timer.” This pauses the automation for another minute, giving everyone a bit more time without needing to fiddle with the app or any complicated settings.
