I’ve tried using the ping integration, but it has some limitations. For instance, I have to add each device separately, which can be time-consuming, and the interval is fixed at 30 seconds. I’d love it if I could just add devices to a list, like when creating an automation for multiple lights or switches. Also, the 30-second interval feels a bit long since I might open and close a door within that time frame. I’m using Home Assistant for a lightweight security system, so detecting offline devices quickly is crucial.
I’ve tried searching for solutions and found several topics about the Home Assistant Supervisor, but I’m still looking for a more efficient method. If anyone has tips or alternative integrations that offer better monitoring with adjustable intervals, I’d appreciate hearing about them.
