How to Set Up Motion Sensors for Bathroom Fan Automation

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into setting up some smart home automation and I thought I’d share my experience with you. I’ve been trying to get my bathroom fan to turn on only when there’s been motion for more than a minute. It’s been a bit of a puzzle, but I think I’ve cracked it!

Initially, I set it up as a basic automation where the fan would turn on after detecting motion. But the issue was that it would activate even if the motion was just for a few seconds. I wanted it to be more precise—only trigger after a sustained period of activity.

After some research, I realized the key was to adjust the automation settings. I found that by tweaking the conditions, I could set it to only activate if the motion sensor detected activity for over a minute. It took a bit of trial and error, but it’s working perfectly now!

If anyone else is struggling with similar automation setups, I’d love to hear your tips or tricks. Maybe there’s a smarter way to handle this or other automation scenarios. Let’s discuss and learn together! :rocket:
