How to Set Up Shelly Devices for Remote Control

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my experience setting up Shelly devices for remote control in my home. It’s been a game-changer for me, and I thought I’d walk through the process in case anyone else is looking to do something similar.

First, I started with a basic setup—using a Shelly 1 to control a light switch in my kitchen. It was pretty straightforward: I just followed the instructions in the app, and within minutes, I could turn the lights on and off from my phone. But I wanted to take it a step further.

I have a second Shelly 1 in my living room, and I wanted it to control the same light in the kitchen. At first, I was a bit confused about how to set this up, but after some research and trial and error, I figured it out. The key was understanding how to link the two devices through the app. Now, both switches work seamlessly, and I can control the light from either room!

One thing I learned is the importance of proper wiring. I made sure to connect everything according to the instructions, and now I don’t have any issues with the devices malfunctioning. It’s also been great to see how energy-efficient this setup is—I no longer worry about the lights staying on accidentally.

I’d love to hear if anyone else has tried something similar or has tips for optimizing Shelly device performance. It’s been such a fun project, and I can’t wait to see what other smart home innovations come my way!

Happy tinkering! :rocket:
