I have a new M100 hub and cannot get it to integrate with Apple Home. I can see it in Aqaua home, and it sees some Ikea devices (a switch and a sensor) but apple home cannot see any of the Ikea devices at all.
The m100 shows its current firmware as 4.3.3. so it does not seem to understand there is a newer version, and I cant see how to force it to update. How?
Thanks, I am hoping this thing will do what I hope it can do - show me the Ikea devices in AppleHome and allow me to use them as sensors to control lighting.

@daniel_mcg To address your issue with updating the M100 hub’s firmware to v4.3.7 and integrating it with Apple Home, here’s a step-by-step guide based on the available information:
1. Updating the M100 Firmware to v4.3.7 or Later
Since your M100 currently shows firmware v4.3.3 and no upgrade option, try these troubleshooting steps first:
- Power cycle the hub: Unplug the M100, wait 2 minutes, then plug it back in. Sometimes insufficient power supply can prevent firmware updates from appearing .
- Check for updates manually: In the Aqara Home App, go to the M100 device details page > tap the three-dot menu (or “…” icon) > select “Firmware Update” to check for available updates. This manual check often prompts the hub to detect newer versions .
Once updated to v4.3.7 or later, you’ll be ready to sync with Apple Home.
2. Syncing M100 with Apple Home via Matter
After confirming the firmware is updated, follow these steps to integrate with Apple Home (required for third-party ecosystem sync, including Apple Home) :
- In the Aqara Home App, go to the M100’s device page.
- Select “Third-Party Matter Ecosystems”.
- Copy the Matter pairing code or save the QR code.
- Open the Apple Home App, tap “+” > “Add Accessory”, then scan the QR code or enter the pairing code to sync the M100.
Note on Ikea Devices
The M100 functions as a Zigbee hub (supporting Zigbee sub-devices like your Ikea switch and sensor) . Once the hub is synced with Apple Home via Matter, Apple Home should recognize the M100 and the connected Ikea devices (as they’re routed through the hub). If devices still don’t appear, ensure they’re properly added to the M100 in the Aqara Home App first.
If the firmware update still doesn’t appear after trying the steps above, feel free to share more details, and we can troubleshoot further!
