I’m using an Aqara G410 Video Doorbell and two Aqara G100 cameras, all connected to both the Aqara app and Apple HomeKit.
I have an iCloud+ plan with plenty of storage, so I’d like all video recordings to go directly to Apple HomeKit Secure Video (HSV) instead of Aqara’s cloud.
However, my recordings still appear in the Aqara app, not in the Home app.
Is there a way to fully switch the recording storage to iCloud / HSV for both G410 and G100?
Do I need to disable Aqara Cloud manually, or is there a limitation where the G100 cameras don’t support HSV?

If you have an iCloud+ 200GB plan, you can connect 5 cameras to HKSV, and recording will be sent to the Apple cloud without using your iCloud storage.
You can disable recording to the Aqara cloud in your camera settings in Aqara Home. Below is an example of how to do this using the G410.
Thank you for this I had no idea you could do this without using up all your storage. I will be taking the plunge. I current save my recordings to my NAS but it’s running out of space and I can afford bigger disks, this could be the solution I was after.
Homekit video does not count towards you iCloud storage, you get one cameras storage for free with Apple and the number of cameras (video) you can store on iCloud varies depending on the various storage levels you pay for with Apple. I think only the last 30 days are saved however.
I have set up 9 cameras on Apple Home without using the Aqara app. Do not even have the app downloaded. Cameras are working great and have control of them without the Aqara app. But I am not seeing in Apple Home where to access the video even though the settings have them recording.
