I’ve been trying to set up my Ring cameras in Home Assistant using Scrypted, but it’s been a bit of a nightmare. I followed Gemini’s recommendations and set up Scrypted as an LXC container in Proxmox, connected it to my Ring account, and linked the cameras to HomeKit. However, viewing live streams or even snapshots has been incredibly slow, and some cameras don’t load at all. My floodlight camera, for example, takes minutes to load and often ends up distorted. I’m really frustrated because it’s supposed to be a seamless integration. Has anyone else had success with Scrypted for Ring cameras? Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. I’m considering switching back to the Ring app for live feeds, but I wanted to avoid that dependency. Let me know if you’ve found a reliable setup!
