Hub M3 Matter bridge doesn’t pass Aqara lock fault alerts (e.g., ‘Latch not fully extended/retracted’) to Home Assistant

Hi Aqara team,

I’m seeing a gap with Aqara lock alerts when using the Hub M3 Matter bridge into Home Assistant.

TL;DR: The Aqara app shows lock fault alerts like “Latch not fully extended/retracted,” but when the U100 is bridged through Hub M3 → Matter → Home Assistant, those fault/alert events don’t appear in Home Assistant (no jammed/fault/operation-failed signal), which prevents automations/notifications for failed lock attempts.

Setup
• Aqara Smart Lock U100
• Connected to Aqara Hub M3
• Home Assistant integrated via Matter (M3 → Matter → HA)

Firmware / versions (all up to date)
• Hub M3: 4.5.30_0013
• U100: 3.0.0_0031
• Home Assistant Core: 2026.1.2
• Home Assistant Supervisor: 2026.01.1

Issue
In the Aqara app “Door Lock Log” (Alerts tab), I regularly see alerts such as:
• “Latch not fully extended or retracted”
(I attached a screenshot.)

This alert is important because it indicates the lock tried to lock/unlock but the bolt/latch did not complete travel (for me this often happens in winter when the security door doesn’t fully close).

However, when the lock is bridged via Matter into Home Assistant, Home Assistant does not receive any equivalent fault/alert state or event. HA typically only shows the basic lock state (locked/unlocked), and when a lock attempt fails, HA just remains “unlocked” with no distinct “jammed/fault/operation failed” signal I can use for automations/notifications.

What I expected
Since Hub M3 is bridging the lock to Matter, I expected one of the following to be exposed to Matter (and therefore to Home Assistant):
• a “jammed” / “fault” state
• an “operation failed” event
• or any fault/reason code that maps to the Aqara alert log (e.g., latch not extended/retracted)

Why it matters
With previous smart locks, Home Assistant could trigger an automation when the lock jammed/failed so I could notify immediately that the door wasn’t closed/aligned. With the current Matter bridge behavior, that’s not possible because the alert appears only inside the Aqara app.

Questions
1. Is the Hub M3 Matter bridge intended to expose these lock fault/operation-failure alerts?
2. If yes, is there a setting I’m missing or any debug/logging I can enable?
3. If not, can Aqara add Matter-exposed fault/operation-failure reporting? Even a generic failure event with a reason code would solve this.

Thanks in advance!
