Trying to add a matter device to the Aqara app but getting message that the m3 hub is offline as the matter controller but it’s online and working so not sure what the issue is
@ds_91 It sounds like you’re experiencing a frustrating issue with your Hub M3 showing as offline when trying to add a Matter device. Here’s a checklist that might help resolve the problem:
-
Network Check: Ensure that your WiFi router supports IPv6, as this is crucial for Matter devices. All your devices, including the M3 hub and your phone, should be on the same local area network.
-
Hub and Device Proximity: During the connection process, try to keep the devices as close to each other as possible to minimize any potential connectivity issues.
-
Restart Devices: Sometimes, simply restarting the M3 hub and your router can help clear up any temporary glitches.
-
Firmware Updates: Make sure that your Aqara Hub M3 is updated to the latest firmware. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
If you’ve tried these steps and the problem persists, it might be helpful to contact Aqara’s Customer Service for a more in-depth investigation. Please feel free to share your findings or any other troubleshooting tips that might work for you!
Could you open the M3 device page and select the [Matter Controller], and then set it as the primary Matter Controller?
No, it says the hub is offline, which it isn’t, and won’t let me re set it as the master controller. Very frustrating
