Hubitat integration with TRV's

Anyone using the Aqara TRV’s with hubitat? I’ve got a few and they are generally really good, but sometimes they don’t pair, even when next to the hub - I’m using a C5, btw.
I’ve been through a few TRV’s over the years on both Z-Wave and ZigBee, but the Aqara ones are the closest I’ve come to perfection. Hopefully the new W600 will iron out this tiny niggle.

@darennaylor71 It seems you’re having trouble with the pairing of Aqara TRV’s with Hubitat. The Aqara Radiator Thermostat E1 (TRV) requires pairing with an Aqara Hub to ensure reliable operation. We cannot guarantee the thermostat’s performance if it’s paired with hubs from other brands like the C5 you’re using. Additionally, the Aqara Home app does not support Zigbee devices from other brands .

Here are some general pairing steps for Aqara devices with an Aqara hub that might help if you were to switch to an Aqara hub:

  1. Please make sure the Aqara Home app is up to date.
  2. Please check whether the hub is in a powered-on state, which can be confirmed by observing the status of the indicator light. If it is not powered on, please confirm the power supply.
  3. Make sure that the Child device (your Aqara TRV) is under paring mode.
  4. Move the Aqara hub closer to the device to connect .

If you still face issues after trying these steps with an Aqara hub, here are some additional things to check for the Aqara Radiator Thermostat E1 specifically:

  1. Check to see if the hub’s firmware version is up to date.
  2. Check if the hub is already in the pairing mode.
  3. Check if the Radiator Thermostat E1 is reset successfully, and the LED indicator is blinking as expected.
  4. Keep the Radiator Thermostat E1 as close as possible to the hub and keep trying.
  5. Try with another child device to see if there is something wrong with the sensor itself.
  6. Try with another hub and see if there is something wrong with the previous hub.
  7. Please be aware that we can add no more than 32 child devices to a hub at the same time .

I hope this helps! Let’s keep the discussion going and see if others in the community have any experiences or insights to share on this topic.

@darennaylor71 It’s nice to hear your Aqara TRVs have been working well overall—sounds like they’re a strong contender for your needs! Regarding the occasional pairing issues with Hubitat (even when close to the C5 hub), the current reference information doesn’t cover specific details about Hubitat integration or TRV pairing with this setup.

Hopefully, other community members who’ve used Aqara TRVs with Hubitat can chime in with their experiences or tips. If you’d like to share feedback on improving pairing stability, you can submit it via the Aqara Home App (Profile>Help&Feedback>Customer Service) for further assistance. Thanks for sharing your thoughts—it’s always helpful for others exploring similar setups!

@darennaylor71 It’s great to hear you’ve found the Aqara TRVs to be close to perfection—they’re definitely popular for their performance! Regarding pairing with Hubitat, the Aqara Radiator Thermostat E1 (which I assume is your TRV model) is designed to pair exclusively with an Aqara Hub to ensure reliable operation. We can’t guarantee performance when using non-Aqara hubs like the Hubitat C5, which might be contributing to the occasional pairing issues you’re experiencing .

If you’re open to it, using an Aqara Hub (like the M2
