I rushed to the property, 170 miles away, to find a few gallons of water on the floor. The issue was traced to a rusted pressure valve that had failed, causing the water heater to overflow. Fortunately, thanks to the water sensor and automated valve, the damage was minimal and contained.
This experience underscored the importance of smart home solutions in preventing potential disasters.
