While the setup process was smooth using the Hue Essential app, I encountered an unexpected issue with the Tradfri remote control. Initially, I was able to successfully add the Ikea Gunnarp lamp to the Hue bridge and control it via the Tradfri remote. However, I noticed that the remote could adjust the intensity but not the color temperature, which was puzzling since the Hue dimmer switch worked perfectly for both intensity and color changes.
