Improving Zigbee Network Performance in Your New Home

Hey everyone, I just moved into a new house and I’m in the process of setting up my Zigbee network. I’ve been using channel 11 before, which worked pretty well, but now I’m wondering if changing the channel could improve my link quality. I’ve heard that channel 26 is a good option, but I’m not sure if it’s the best fit for my setup. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations on which channel tends to perform better in different environments? Also, I’m curious if adding a router with a CC2531 chip could help extend the range of my network. I’d love to avoid re-pairing all my devices if possible, but I’m open to trying it if it means better performance. If anyone has successfully done this, I’d love to hear about your experience! :dove:

Another thing I’m considering is the interference from my neighbors’ Wi-Fi. They’re using channels 1, 6, and 11, which I think should be okay, but I’m not entirely sure. Maybe switching to a less crowded channel could make a difference. I’m also thinking about whether the physical layout of my new house affects signal quality—like how many walls the signal has to pass through. I’d appreciate any tips or tricks to optimize my network setup. Thanks in advance for your advice!
