Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience integrating the Inkbird ITC-308 into my home automation setup. After some research and trial, I managed to get it working seamlessly with Home Assistant. Here’s how I did it:
-
Setup: I connected the ITC-308 to my network using the Tuya app. It recognized the device instantly, which made the process much smoother.
-
Integration with Home Assistant: Once paired with Tuya, I added the device to Home Assistant through the Tuya integration. It showed up as a thermostat and temperature sensor, which is exactly what I needed for my aquarium setup.
-
Automation: I created an automation to monitor temperature changes. Whenever the temperature drops below a certain threshold, it sends a notification to my phone. This has been incredibly helpful for maintaining the right environment for my fish.
-
Tips for Others: If you’re planning to integrate an Inkbird device, make sure your network is stable and that you have the latest firmware installed on the device. Also, take some time to explore the Tuya app for any additional settings or features that might be useful.
I’m really happy with how this setup has worked out. It’s been a great addition to my smart home ecosystem, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for reliable temperature monitoring and control.
If anyone has questions or needs help setting theirs up, feel free to reach out! Happy automating! ![]()
