@ellen_z That’s a great topic! There are several ways Aqara can be used to enhance home efficiency:
- Editable Card Function and Flexible Dashboards: With devices like the Aqara Panel Hub S1 Plus EU, users can quickly add Aqara devices to the screen by adding cards. They can arrange multiple scenes and multiple devices according to usage habits and combine favorite board themes. Up to 10 boards can be configured, and users can also copy their dashboard from Aqara Home directly. This personalized and convenient UI interface allows for easier control of various smart home devices, saving time and effort .
- Power Monitoring: The Aqara Panel Hub S1 Plus EU monitors the power consumption of connected devices and provides daily/weekly/monthly energy consumption reports in Aqara Home. Users can use these data reports to optimize their daily electricity usage, reducing consumption and promoting sustainable energy use. This helps in managing energy efficiently and potentially saving on utility bills .
- Proximity Screen Activation: The proximity activation feature of the Aqara Panel Hub S1 Plus EU supports triggering the screen by distance automatically, up to 2.5 meters away. This not only makes the home smarter and more interactive but also helps reduce light pollution. Users can also set auto - brightness in the panel to ensure optimal visibility and protect eyes. The default automation allows users to set automation according to their preferences when someone approaches, providing a convenient experience .
- Automation Creation: Through the Aqara Home APP, users can create “automations” to achieve automatic control of equipment. For example, adding a timer to automatically switch on and off the socket, or automatically turn on lights when doors and windows are opened. This automation can streamline daily routines and make the home run more smoothly .
I’m sure there are many other creative ways our community members have used Aqara to boost home efficiency. I encourage everyone to share their experiences and ideas in the comments below, so we can all learn from each other!
I have a lot of smart plugs around my home meaning most things are turned off at the wall unless in use. I then have things turned on and off either at certain times, or based on proximity (with FP2 sensors) or when activated by Aqara wireless buttons.
I’m planing to fit a load of radiator valves next
