I recently purchased an INSTEON 2450 and was a bit confused about whether it could communicate directly with my existing Vera setup without additional hardware. After some research, I realized that while INSTEON devices can work with Vera, they might require an INSTEON controller like the 2410 to ensure seamless communication. I connected the 2410 via USB to my Vera3, and it made a huge difference in reliability and functionality.
