Hi everyone, I’m excited to share my recent project and seek some advice from the community. I’ve been using a Honeywell Lyric alarm system, which only supports HomeKit, but I also have some Caseta lamp dimmers that I’d love to integrate into my Hubitat setup. My goal is to use these dimmers as a sort of relay to let Hubitat know when my alarm is armed or disarmed.
Here’s how I envision it working: When the alarm is armed, the dimmer would turn on, signaling Hubitat to trigger an ‘Away’ routine. Conversely, when the alarm is disarmed, the dimmer would turn off, prompting Hubitat to switch to a ‘Home’ routine. This would streamline my security setup and make it more automated.
I’ve done a bit of research and found that it might be possible, but I’m not entirely sure how to configure everything properly. I’m looking for tips or best practices on how to set this up without causing any conflicts between HomeKit and Hubitat. Has anyone else tried something similar or have any advice to share?
