I’m a new user to Home Assistant and I’m really excited to dive into the world of smart home automation. However, I’ve hit a bit of a snag with my Cisco Access Points. I have four Cisco Aeronet 2600 units, and I’m trying to figure out how to integrate them with Home Assistant so I can monitor who’s logging in and perhaps create some automations based on that data.
I’ve done some research and found some hints in the forums, but I’m still not quite there. For example, I’d love to set up a rule where if User 1 logs into Access Point 2, a specific action happens, like turning on a light or adjusting the thermostat. I’m not sure if this is possible with the current setup or if there’s a specific integration or plugin I need to install.
Has anyone else successfully integrated Cisco Access Points with Home Assistant? Any tips, tricks, or resources you could share would be incredibly helpful. I’m really looking forward to getting this working and unlocking the full potential of my smart home setup!
