Hello everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience with integrating both the Conbee II and Sky Connect sticks for my smart home setup. After years of using the Conbee II for my Zigbee devices, I was excited to explore the potential of Thread and Matter with the Sky Connect.
I’ve been experimenting with connecting my Eve Energy plug, which has been a bit of a challenge. According to some guides, the Sky Connect can act exclusively as a Thread Border Router, while the Conbee II continues to handle Zigbee devices. This setup would allow both sticks to coexist on the same HA server, which is exactly what I’ve been trying to achieve.
The process has been a learning curve, but I’m optimistic about the possibilities this dual setup offers. It’s amazing to think about how this could streamline my smart home ecosystem, supporting both legacy and newer devices seamlessly.
