I’ve recently embarked on an exciting project to integrate my Buderus oil heating system with my smart home setup, and I’m thrilled to share my journey with you all! 
The ESP_Buderus_KM271 project has been a game-changer for me. By leveraging MQTT and Home Assistant, I’ve been able to achieve seamless automation and monitoring of my heating system. The WebUI interface is incredibly user-friendly, and the ability to log data and perform OTA updates over the web is a huge plus. If you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly recommend giving it a look! 
On another front, I’ve been diving into RGB lighting with some fantastic products from Govee. Their latest RGB lights are a joy to work with, and integrating them into my Zigbee setup has been a breeze. I’ve even set up a rotary switch to control the lights locally, thanks to some helpful coding tips and the support of tools like ChatGPT. 
Here’s a quick rundown of how I got it all working:
- Single Press: Turns the light on
- Double Press: Turns the light off
- Long Press: Toggles between brightness and color modes
- Rotate Right/Left: Adjusts brightness or cycles through colors
It’s been a learning curve, but the satisfaction of seeing everything come together has been well worth it.
