Integrating ESP_Buderus_KM271 and RGB Lighting for a Seamless Smart Home Experience

I’ve recently embarked on an exciting project to integrate my Buderus oil heating system with my smart home setup, and I’m thrilled to share my journey with you all! :rocket:

The ESP_Buderus_KM271 project has been a game-changer for me. By leveraging MQTT and Home Assistant, I’ve been able to achieve seamless automation and monitoring of my heating system. The WebUI interface is incredibly user-friendly, and the ability to log data and perform OTA updates over the web is a huge plus. If you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly recommend giving it a look! :+1:

On another front, I’ve been diving into RGB lighting with some fantastic products from Govee. Their latest RGB lights are a joy to work with, and integrating them into my Zigbee setup has been a breeze. I’ve even set up a rotary switch to control the lights locally, thanks to some helpful coding tips and the support of tools like ChatGPT. :dart:

Here’s a quick rundown of how I got it all working:

  • Single Press: Turns the light on
  • Double Press: Turns the light off
  • Long Press: Toggles between brightness and color modes
  • Rotate Right/Left: Adjusts brightness or cycles through colors

It’s been a learning curve, but the satisfaction of seeing everything come together has been well worth it. :star2:

I’d love to hear from others who might be working on similar projects or have tips to share. Whether it’s about heating integration, RGB lighting, or smart home automation in general, let’s keep the conversation going! :speech_balloon:

Happy automating! :rocket:
