Hello everyone,
I’ve been using OpenHAB with Homegear to control my Homematic BidCoS devices for a few years now, and it’s been working great. Recently, I decided to expand my setup by adding HMIP devices, which required purchasing a CCU2. The integration process with OpenHAB was smooth, and I was able to pair all my HMIP devices without any issues. However, now I’m facing some unexpected problems with my existing BidCoS devices.
Here’s my setup:
- OpenHAB 2.5.4-1 running on Raspberry Pi 4 Model B
- Homegear for Homematic BidCoS devices
- CCU2 for Homematic IP devices
The issue I’m encountering is that sometimes it takes 2-3 minutes for my BidCoS devices to respond to commands, and occasionally, they don’t react at all. This is frustrating, especially when I’m trying to control lights or other devices in real-time. I’ve noticed this delay inconsistently across multiple devices, which makes it harder to pinpoint the exact cause.
Looking at the error logs, I see the following recurring message:
2017-10-23 08:30:05.224 [ERROR] [ematic.handler.HomematicThingHandler] - -100 No answer from device. (sending setValue() MEQ051XXXX:1 LEVEL 1.0 ) java.io.IOException: -100 No answer from device. (sending setValue() MEQ051XXXX:1 LEVEL 1.0 )
I’m wondering if it’s possible to use both Homegear and CCU2 simultaneously without encountering these issues. Has anyone else successfully integrated both systems? I’d appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to troubleshoot this problem or improve the reliability of my BidCoS device controls.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Thor
