I’ve been diving into the world of home automation recently, and I must say, it’s been an incredible journey! 
I’ve been using Philips Hue lights for a while now, controlled by their bridge, but I’ve always wanted to expand into a more integrated system that includes security. After some research, I came across the Hubitat Elevation C8, and I’m absolutely thrilled with how it’s transforming my setup.One of the things I was most curious about was whether the Hubitat could replace my Philips Hue bridge while still controlling all my Hue devices. After setting it up, I’m happy to report that it works seamlessly! 
The integration process was straightforward, and now I have a single control center for both my lights and my security system. It’s incredibly convenient to manage everything from one platform.I’ve also been experimenting with creating some basic automation rules using the Hubitat app. For instance, I set up a rule where my lights dim slightly when I’m watching TV in the evening, creating a cozy atmosphere. It’s these little touches that really make home automation feel like a luxury.
