After using my old 1home KNX Bridge for years, I stumbled upon Home Assistant and decided to give it a try. It’s been an exciting adventure, especially with my KNX setup. KNX Integration in HomeKit I’ve successfully integrated my KNX system with Home Assistant and HomeKit. However, there was one minor hiccup I wanted to address—switchable outlets only appearing as switches in HomeKit. I heard that changing the type in the HomeKit configuration file to “Outlet” could fix this, but I wasn’t entirely sure how to do it. After some research and tinkering, I managed to make the change, and now my outlets display correctly! 
My Experience Setting up KNX with HomeKit has been a breeze. The integration allows me to control my smart home devices seamlessly, and the HomeKit app makes everything intuitive. I love how I can automate routines, like turning on lights when I enter a room or adjusting the thermostat based on the time of day. Tips for Others If you’re looking to integrate KNX with HomeKit, here are a few tips: - Documentation: Make sure to read through the Home Assistant KNX integration docs carefully. They provide a solid foundation. - Configuration: Double-check your YAML files, especially if you’re changing device types like switches to outlets. - Community Support: Don’t hesitate to ask for help in forums like this one. The community is super supportive and knowledgeable! Looking Ahead I’m really excited about the possibilities with KNX and HomeKit.
