Hey everyone! I’m currently working on a new integration for the Kostal KSEM smart meter and the Enector wallbox in Home Assistant. 
This project has been quite an adventure, and I wanted to share my journey with you all.
First off, I stumbled upon this GitHub repository (KSEM Integration) which seemed like the perfect starting point. The integration allows for seamless communication between the KSEM meter and Home Assistant, providing real-time energy consumption data and enabling smart charging of electric vehicles through the Enector wallbox.
However, the setup wasn’t without its challenges. I encountered a few hiccups along the way, particularly with the initial configuration and ensuring that all data points were correctly mapped. After some trial and error, I managed to get everything up and running smoothly.
One feature I’m particularly excited about is the ability to monitor both energy consumption and charging status in a single dashboard. This integration has not only enhanced my home’s energy management capabilities but has also given me a deeper understanding of my energy usage patterns.
