Hey everyone, I’m really excited to share my experience with integrating my MiBoxer LED controller with a Shelly 2PM switch. I’ve been trying to create a seamless lighting setup in my bathroom, and I think I’ve cracked it!
So, here’s the setup: I have a ceiling light controlled by the Shelly 2PM, and a mirror-mounted LED light that’s connected to the MiBoxer controller. The goal was to have both lights turn on simultaneously when I flip the switch. Initially, I was a bit puzzled about how to bridge these two devices since they’re from different brands. But after some research and trial and error, I found the solution!
I discovered that the Shelly 2PM can act as a smart switch and send signals to other devices through the Home Assistant ecosystem. By setting up a simple automation rule in Home Assistant, I was able to link the Shelly switch to the MiBoxer controller. Now, when I turn on the bathroom light, the LED strip under the mirror lights up perfectly! It’s such a small detail, but it makes a huge difference in the overall feel of the space.
I’d love to hear if anyone else has tackled similar integrations or has tips for optimizing setups with multiple brands. This experience has really shown me the power of smart home ecosystems and how they can adapt to meet our specific needs. Happy tinkering everyone! ![]()
