Integrating Midea, Shelly, and Wyze Devices in Home Assistant

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my recent experience integrating a few different smart home devices into Home Assistant. It’s been a fun project, and I thought I’d walk through what I did in case it helps anyone else out there!

First off, I’ve been really impressed with how Home Assistant handles multiple brands. I recently added a Midea中央空调控制器CCM15 to my setup, and it’s been running smoothly. The integration process was pretty straightforward, and I love how it works alongside my other devices. If anyone is looking to add this to their setup, I’d highly recommend checking out the GitHub project linked in the original post—I found it super helpful!

Another thing I wanted to mention is my experience with the Shelly 2.5 for controlling a roof window roller. I’ve had a few Shelly devices around the house, and this one was no exception in terms of reliability. However, I did run into a small issue with the position display. Initially, I thought 100% should mean fully closed, but it turned out the opposite was true. After a bit of tweaking, I managed to reverse it, and now it works perfectly. It’s all about understanding the settings and taking the time to test things out!

On the topic of cameras, I’ve been using a Wyze Floodlight V2 for a while now, and I’ve been pretty happy with it. It’s great for motion detection, and the video quality is solid. That said, I did notice that it doesn’t recognize vehicles or people as well as some of my other cameras. I ended up having to adjust the motion zones and stick with motion-only detection, which has worked well for my needs. If anyone else is having similar issues, I’d suggest playing around with the settings to see what works best for your setup.

One thing I’ve been really excited about is the Govee商品投票 initiative. It’s awesome to see brands like Govee engaging with their community and giving us a say in what they produce. I voted for the RGBIC Pro LED Strip, and I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on it. It’s a great way to feel involved in the product development process!

Lastly, I wanted to touch on the Yale锁桥接问题. I recently set up my Yale locks with Hubitat, and it took a bit of trial and error to get everything working smoothly. I’d recommend double-checking the lock settings in Hubitat and ensuring that all firmware updates are applied. Once everything was set up correctly, it’s been a breeze to use!

Overall, this project has been a fantastic learning experience, and I’m loving how everything works together. If anyone has any questions or tips about integrating different devices, I’d love to hear from you! Happy smart home tinkering everyone! :rocket:
