A Little Story: The Garage Door
One of my favorite projects was integrating my old Z-Wave garage door opener with my newer SmartThings system. Initially, I struggled with getting the two systems to communicate. After some research, I realized that using a virtual device in SmartThings to represent the garage door state was the solution. Now, I can control it seamlessly from my phone or even set up routines to open the garage when I arrive home.
