Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experiences with integrating various smart home devices and improving security. First, I successfully paired my Wyze Cam Pan with my existing setup, and I’m relieved to say it’s working seamlessly. I’ve also been experimenting with custom dashboards using EZ Dashboard for better organization and accessibility on my phone. It’s amazing how a well-organized interface can make managing smart home devices so much easier!
On the security front, I’ve been looking into ways to enhance my system without relying solely on cloud services. I’ve added wired sensors to my home and am exploring how to integrate them with my smart devices. While I’ve managed to get everything up and running, I’m still tweaking my rules to ensure everything works smoothly, especially during different times of the day.
Another project I’ve been working on is optimizing my motion detectors. I found that my front porch sensor was too sensitive, picking up too many false positives from nearby traffic. I solved this by adjusting the sensor’s range and setting a longer delay before triggering notifications. It’s been a great learning experience, and I’m excited to continue refining my setup!
