I recently connected my Nuki Ultra smart lock to Home Assistant, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup. The integration was straightforward, and now I have a convenient button in Home Assistant to unlock my door. It’s incredibly handy, especially when I’m juggling groceries or packages and don’t want to fumble with keys. [Screenshot of Home Assistant interface]
However, I’ve been wondering if there’s a way to take this a step further. Unlocking the door is great, but what I really need is a button to fully open the door. From what I understand, it’s just an extra rotation for the motor, which shouldn’t be too complicated to implement. I’m curious if anyone has managed to achieve this or if there’s a workaround. If not, I’m hopeful that this feature might be on the horizon.
In the meantime, I’m thoroughly enjoying the convenience and security that the Nuki Ultra brings to my home. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference in daily life. I’d love to hear if others have similar experiences or tips for enhancing their smart lock setups!
