Integrating Samsung TVs with Motion Sensors for Energy Efficiency

Hey everyone, I’m reaching out to see if anyone has tackled a similar challenge. I’ve been trying to find a sleek way to automate turning off our Samsung TVs when no one’s in the room. It’s a small but impactful way to save energy, especially since my family tends to leave the TVs on more often than not!

I’ve explored using motion sensors paired with smart outlets, but it feels a bit clunky. I’d love a more seamless solution that integrates directly with the TVs. I came across the Samsung Community Driver, but it seems to come with a lot of extra features I don’t need. Plus, with three Samsung TVs in the house, the traffic on my hub has been a bit overwhelming.

Has anyone successfully stripped down the Samsung Community Driver to just handle power-off functionality? Or are there similar solutions for LG TVs that might be more efficient? I’d love to hear your experiences and any tips you might have for achieving this without overcomplicating things. Let’s brainstorm together!

Thanks in advance for your insights!
