My journey also included experimenting with DIY projects, which allowed me to customize my smart home setup to suit my unique needs. For instance, I created a custom light board for an ESP8266 to control an RGB and white light setup. While this was a challenging project, especially as a newcomer, it was incredibly satisfying to see it come together and function flawlessly. The support I received from the community, particularly through forums and GitHub repositories, was invaluable and kept me motivated throughout the process. Another highlight of my project was addressing a recurring issue with my liquid level sensor for my water tank. After some trial and error, I found a compatible sensor that provided accurate readings and integrated seamlessly with my Shelly devices.
