Hi everyone, I’m new to the world of smart home automation and I’m excited to share my journey with you. I recently purchased the Homey Pro 2023 and have been working on integrating various smart devices into my setup. So far, I’ve successfully connected my Smart Life door camera, Xiaomi MiLab outdoor camera, Xiaomi Honeywell fire alarms, Aqara sensors, and a complete Yeelight Pro lighting system. It’s been a learning process, but I’m enjoying the journey!
One of the challenges I’m currently facing is getting my Honeywell thermostat to switch to Auto mode on the scheduler. I’ve tried using both the Honeywell driver and the Generic ZWave driver, but I’m still unable to get it to work as intended. I live in SE Texas, where the weather can be quite drastic, so having the thermostat switch between Cool, Heat, and Emergency Heat throughout the day is crucial. Does anyone have a fix for this issue?
Additionally, I’m curious to hear about others’ experiences with integrating multiple smart devices. What are some of the most useful devices you’ve integrated into your setup? I’m always on the lookout for new ideas and tips to enhance my smart home experience. Also, I’ve heard great things about the WebCore app and its automation capabilities. Has anyone successfully migrated from the User app to the built-in WebCore app in OpenHAB? I’m eager to explore this further!
Lastly, I wanted to share a tip I came across regarding smart home documentation. Keeping detailed records of your device configurations and automation rules has proven incredibly helpful for troubleshooting and future updates. I hope this tip can be useful for someone else starting their smart home journey.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences!
