Hello everyone! I’m currently working on setting up a more integrated smart home system, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and challenges with the community.
First, I recently discovered a fantastic integration for my Surrey air conditioner using the Midea Smart AC integration in HACS. It’s been a game-changer for controlling my AC through Google Home and other services. If anyone else is looking to integrate their Surrey AC, I highly recommend checking it out!
However, I’ve run into an issue with my Vera Plus system. I’m trying to reinstall the Day or Night Plug-in, but it keeps erroring out when I go into the settings. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times, but the problem persists. Has anyone else encountered this and found a solution?
Another topic I’d love to get some advice on is setting up notifications for my Nuki smart lock. I’d like to receive alerts whenever the door status changes, whether it’s opened via the app or the physical button. I’m not entirely sure how to configure this within Home Assistant, so any tips or templates would be greatly appreciated!
Lastly, I’m really excited about the potential of using action buttons on my iPhone to toggle lights and other devices. If anyone has a shortcut or app that makes this process smoother, I’d love to hear about it.
