I’ve recently embarked on a project to integrate smart lighting with motion sensors in my home, aiming to enhance both convenience and energy efficiency. While the concept seems straightforward, I’ve encountered a few hurdles that I’d love to discuss with the community.
Initially, I set up a Shelly Plus 1 to control an outdoor light fixture, which is triggered by multiple 12V switches and a motion detector. The goal was to automate the lighting schedule and prevent accidental activation during the day. However, I’ve faced challenges in getting the Shelly to recognize the state changes from the existing switches. Despite following several tutorials, I’m still struggling with the configuration, particularly in distinguishing between the switches and the motion sensor inputs.
I’d appreciate any insights or tips on how to properly configure the Shelly to work seamlessly with the existing setup. Additionally, I’m curious if others have successfully integrated similar systems and what approaches they found most effective. Your experiences and advice would be invaluable as I continue to refine this project.
Looking forward to hearing from you all!
