Integrating Smart Switches for Unified Basement Lighting Control

I recently faced a challenge with my basement lighting setup, which uses two different circuits controlled by 3-way switches. The issue was that the lights were often left on unintentionally, as the switches at the top and bottom of the stairs, as well as the back door, made it easy to forget to turn them off. After some research, I decided to explore using smart switches to streamline the control of both circuits into a single, unified system.

I came across a solution where installing smart switches on each circuit and programming them to operate in tandem seemed promising. This approach would allow me to ensure both sets of lights are always in sync, eliminating the hassle of managing them separately. While I’m still in the planning phase, I’m excited about the potential this setup has to simplify my daily routine and reduce energy waste.

If anyone has experience with similar setups or tips on how to program the switches effectively, I’d love to hear your insights! Let’s work together to find the best way to make this integration seamless and efficient.
