I’ve been diving into the world of smart home integration lately, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey!
Recently, I decided to add some Sonos speakers to my setup, and I’m thrilled to share my experience with you all. ![]()
Initially, I successfully added two Sonos speakers to my system and was able to control them individually through their respective device pages. However, when I tried to incorporate them into my main dashboard for a more seamless experience, I ran into a bit of a snag. The speakers simply didn’t appear in the list of available devices to add. ![]()

After some troubleshooting, I realized that I hadn’t checked the ‘Disable’ option for these devices. Once I ensured that this checkbox was unchecked, the speakers became visible on my dashboard!
It was a simple oversight, but it taught me the importance of double-checking settings when integrating new devices.
Since then, I’ve been exploring the various ways to automate my music experience. For instance, I’ve set up a routine where my Sonos speakers automatically play my favorite playlist when I arrive home.
It’s these little touches that make my smart home feel truly personalized and convenient.
I’m also looking into creating more complex scenarios, like adjusting the volume based on the time of day or integrating music playback with my lighting system. The possibilities are endless, and I’m excited to continue refining my setup! ![]()
If anyone has tips or tricks for optimizing their Sonos integration or automating music playback, I’d love to hear them! Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other create smarter, more connected homes. ![]()
