Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent success in integrating my Sony Bravia TV with Apple HomeKit. After some initial troubleshooting, everything is working perfectly now! Here’s how I did it:
First, I made sure my TV was properly configured in Home Assistant. I included the media_player entity and set up the necessary domains. Then, I adjusted the entity configuration to match my TV’s name and ensure it was recognized by HomeKit.
One thing I noticed was the importance of having the correct entity IDs and ensuring that all components were included in the HomeKit filters. It’s crucial to double-check these settings to avoid any issues.
Now, I can seamlessly control my TV through Siri or the Home app. It’s amazing how much more integrated my smart home feels with this addition. If anyone is struggling with similar setups, I’d be happy to help!
