Hi everyone, I’m currently exploring ways to enhance my home automation setup, particularly with motorized solar shades and awnings. I came across the RS Solutions AC1-ZW motor control, which seems promising due to its built-in temperature sensor ports. However, I’m curious if this unit can be adapted to detect wind speeds as well. This would be incredibly useful for automatically adjusting my awnings during windy conditions, preventing potential damage.
I’ve been using an ESI system so far, which works well, but the idea of repurposing the AC1-ZW for both temperature and wind detection is intriguing. I’m wondering if anyone in the community has successfully integrated wind sensors with this motor control or has any tips on how to achieve this.
For those of you who might be interested, I’m also looking into more affordable motorized solar shade solutions, especially for larger sizes like 8 feet. If anyone has recommendations or experiences with specific brands, I’d love to hear about them.
