Hey everyone, I wanted to share an exciting development I’ve been working on, especially for those of you who, like me, have transitioned to Apple devices and are fans of Wyze products. Over the past few years, I’ve slowly moved away from Google to Apple, and one of the gaps I noticed was the lack of native Apple HomeKit support for Wyze devices. I’ve seen many requests for this feature in forums, so I decided to take matters into my own hands.
After a couple of days of tinkering, I successfully created a prototype bridge that allows Wyze devices to integrate seamlessly with Apple HomeKit. This means I can now control all my Wyze cameras, lights, and other devices directly through the Home app, without needing any external services like Homebridge. It’s been a game-changer for my smart home setup!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this and whether you’d be interested in seeing this bridge become an official solution. If there’s enough interest, I’d be open to collaborating with Wyze to make this available to everyone. This could be a great way to enhance the compatibility of Wyze devices with Apple ecosystems.
Let me know your thoughts or any questions you might have—I’ll do my best to address them. Thanks for reading, and I hope this sparks some exciting discussions!
Best regards,
Conor
