Integrating Z-Wave Switches for Smart Lighting

Hello everyone! I’m new to the world of smart home automation and I’m really excited to dive into this. I’ve been experimenting with setting up smart lighting in my home using Z-Wave switches, but I’ve hit a bit of a snag and I was hoping someone could offer some guidance or share their experiences. So, here’s what I’ve done so far: I’ve installed a couple of Z-Wave switches to control my under-cabinet kitchen lights. The setup seemed straightforward—install the switch, pair it with my hub, and then configure it within my smart home app. But here’s where I’m running into issues: I want to create a seamless experience where I can control both sides of the kitchen with a single command, but I’m not entirely sure how to group these devices together or set up the right automations.I’ve read a bit about using smart tiles or creating custom scenes, but I’m not quite clear on how to make this work across both sides of the kitchen. Is there a way to link these devices so that turning on one side automatically turns on the other? Or maybe there’s a better approach to grouping them within the app?Another thing I’m curious about is the possibility of adding motion sensors to these lights. I’d love to have the lights come on automatically when I walk into the kitchen, but I’m not sure how to integrate that with the existing setup. Would I need additional hardware, or can this be done through the app?I’ve also heard about the potential for creating routines or schedules, but I’m not entirely sure how to set those up. For example, having the lights turn on at a certain time or dim when it gets dark outside. Any tips or resources on this would be greatly appreciated!Lastly, I’m wondering if there are any best practices for wiring and installing these devices, especially since I want everything to look clean and professional. Should I be concerned about the placement of the switches or the type of wiring I’m using?I know this might seem like a lot of questions, but I’m really eager to get this working smoothly. I’ve seen some amazing setups online and I’m hoping to create something similar in my home. Thanks in advance for any advice or recommendations you can share!
