Hey everyone,
I’ve been diving into the world of Zigbee devices lately and have to say, it’s been both exciting and a bit of a learning curve. I recently added a few Zigbee-enabled devices, including a smart plug and a motion sensor, and I’m really impressed with their reliability and ease of use. However, I’ve come across a couple of issues that I’m hoping the community can shed some light on.
First, I’ve noticed that my logs occasionally get flooded with messages like Unexpected message send notification. It’s not causing any functional issues, but it’s a bit annoying to see so many warnings popping up. Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, how did you go about resolving it?
Second, I’ve added a Zigbee device that unfortunately stopped working correctly. It’s a bit frustrating, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to manually remove it from my devices list so it doesn’t clutter things up. I’d love to avoid having to reset the entire network if possible.
On a more positive note, I’ve been experimenting with organizing my automations, and I have to say, it’s been a bit overwhelming. I’m coming from a background with SmartThings and HomeKit, where automations were more streamlined, and I’m finding myself creating multiple automations for a single device. For example, I have a Symphonisk music switch with several buttons, and I ended up creating separate automations for each button press. This approach works, but it’s leading to a lot of individual automations, and I’m concerned it might become unmanageable as I add more devices.
I’ve tried searching for ways to nest or group automations under a single device, but I haven’t found much luck so far. My ideal setup would be something like having all automations for a device neatly organized under one umbrella, making it easier to navigate and manage. Does anyone have any tips or workarounds for organizing automations in a more structured way?
I’d also love to hear about others’ experiences with Zigbee devices and how they handle similar challenges. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
