Introducing Outdoor Plug H2 EU and Curtain Controller C100

Hey Aqara Community!

We’re thrilled to announce that the Outdoor Plug H2 EU and Curtain Controller C100 are officially joining the Aqara lineup!

Outdoor Plug H2 EU

A weather-ready smart plug built to live outside, so your outdoor gear runs on your schedule instead of your attention.

  • Two protocols, no compromise: Pick Thread mode to link straight to third-party Matter ecosystems with no Aqara hub, or Zigbee mode for exclusive Aqara features. It also supports backward compatibility with the classic Aqara Zigbee hubs without compromising Matter support. You can switch between desired protocols based on preference.*
  • Ready for real weather: IP44-rated against splashing water and solid objects over 1mm, so gardens, patios, and balconies are fair game — rain or shine.
  • Insights you can act on: Power data shows what’s really drawing energy, so pumps, heaters, and chargers run only when needed — less waste, lower bills.**
  • Safety that reacts: The child lock ignores accidental presses, and the plug cuts power on its own when overloaded or overheated, no one has to step in.
  • A status light you control: Match the indicator to your switch state, or turn it off completely for a clean, distraction-free look.

*Thread mode requires a Thread-enabled Matter Controller from that ecosystem. Zigbee mode requires an Aqara Zigbee hub.
** Savings vary by device, usage, and local energy rates.

Curtain Controller C100

A compact, DIY-friendly upgrade that mounts on your existing curtain rail and brings it into your smart home. It’s the natural next step for anyone who’s been enjoying the classic Aqara Curtain Controller.

  • Slim, unobtrusive design: At 2.8 × 2 × 6.3 in (71.1 × 50.8 × 161 mm) — about the size of a modern iPhone and half the size of its predecessor — it blends into your décor instead of competing with it.
  • Powerful yet quiet: The DC motor delivers 1.2 N·m of rated torque for curtains up to 110 lbs (50 kg), and high-quality bearings, dampening pads, and multi-layer gearing keep operation soft and quiet.
  • Dual-protocol flexibility: Over Zigbee with an Aqara hub, it connects straight to Aqara Home or to third-party apps through Aqara Home. Over Thread, scan the pairing code with your phone and step into a third-party ecosystem without an Aqara hub. A third-party ecosystem hub is still required for remote control and automations.
  • Full Apple Home compatibility: Add it to Apple Home via Matter and control your curtains from iPhone, Apple Watch, and more — including single-tap Sleep Mode, scheduled open and close times, Apple Watch gesture control, and geofenced automations.

Yeah, can’t wait to try this… hopefully it’ll work with a stubby tilt pole, so I can prevent other ‘users’ from interfering!

Why is the Curtain Controller C100 not being sold in Europe? Are there plans to offer it in other parts of the world as well?

I’d love to try the C100 in my home system

The plug is interesting and would love to see something similar in the US but the current form factor would not meet code. Our external outlets need to be enclosed and it is proving very challenging. Most enclosures barely support a normal plug, much less something that would stick out as far as this H2 plug does.

I’m thinking of using the Aqara Outdoor Plug H2 to monitor the power consumption of an outdoor device, such as my garden’s irrigation pump or outdoor lighting. It would be great to track energy usage and integrate everything into my smart home setup. I really enjoy finding practical ways to combine Aqara devices with home automation!
