FAQ

How to activate the device and give voice commands?
When the device detects it is being picked up or shaken, it will activate and immediately start to listen for commands. The green light will flash quickly to indicate that it is connecting to the hub. After the connection is established, the green light stays on, indicating that you can start sending voice commands.

Why is there a slight delay in voice activation sometimes?
The device connects to the hub via Bluetooth. The first time the device connects to the hub, it will take about 1-2 seconds. If you select “Auto Select” hub, the device will automatically select a hub with the best signal to connect with while walking around your home with the device in hand. This switching process will also cause a slight delay. It is recommended that the device be used close to the hub you use most often to achieve the best connection results.

Are there any distance requirements between the device and the hub for voice control to work?
The device connects to the hub via Bluetooth. The ideal distance for connecting to the hub under Bluetooth communication is within 10 meters. To ensure a better Bluetooth connection signal, it is recommended to use it in a location close to the hub with no obstructions in-between.

After picking up the device, the recording indicator light does not stay on. The red light on the device turns on for 1 second and then turns off. What is the problem?
If the green light flashes and then the red light stays on for 1 second after picking up the device, it indicates that the hub is offline or the connection to the hub has timed out, resulting in a failed voice wake-up. Please check if the hub is offline, move the device closer to the gateway, and try again.

Why is it that after sending a voice command, there is no execution and no feedback?
After sending a voice command, if the network connection to the cloud times out, the device control may fail, or the device control may succeed but there will not issue audio feedback. In this case, please check whether the network is stable, make sure the device and the hub are in connection range, and then try to send the voice command again.

The device supports multi-language recognition. What is the purpose of setting the “Speech Recognition” language?
Although the device recognizes multiple languages, setting the “Speech Recognition” language can improve the recognition accuracy and precision of the language. It is recommended to configure it accurately during setup to achieve the best use results.

Does the device support access to Matter for third-party use?
Not supported yet. The automation conditions of the sensor mode are limited to use in Aqara Home and can not be directly used on third-party platforms. However, you can set the action as a “signal” in Aqara Home and bridge it to the third-party ecosystem through a supported hub to achieve indirect control.

Can the device send multiple voice commands at the same time?
The device only supports one voice command per sentence (i.e., it processes one voice command at a time). After issuing a command, shaking it or picking it up again will allow you to issue the next voice command.

How long is the battery life of the equipment?
Based on Aqara laboratory data, using only the voice function (without activating the sensor mode), the battery life can reach 1 year under normal usage frequency, and after activating the sensor mode, the battery life can reach 6 months. * The device battery life will be affected by factors such as the frequency of voice use, the number of motion sensing times, the number of false triggers, the number of OTA upgrades, the number of mobile phone connections, the network connection environment, and the ambient temperature.

Does the device support AI chat function? Can it be used as an AI query tool?
Voice Mate H1 is an AI smart home voice control device whose main function is quickly and efficiently controlling devices and scenes. Although Voice Mate H1 also supports simple daily conversations, it will impose certain restrictions on the content and length of the conversations. Users are requested to independently identify the conversation replies generated by AI.
