I don’t understand the c wire adapter wiring and how to use with only 4 wires
@phelpsjimmy Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. It looks like you’re dealing with a classic wiring puzzle. ![]()
Based on the image you provided, your current thermostat has wires labeled Rh, W, Y, and G. This is a very common setup for standard heating and cooling systems.
Here is how you can wire the Aqara Thermostat Hub W200 with these 4 wires:
- Rh connects to the Rc terminal on the W200 Hub.
- W connects to the W1 terminal.
- Y connects to the Y terminal.
- G connects to the G terminal.
What about the C wire?
You mentioned not understanding the C-wire adapter wiring. The Aqara Thermostat Hub W200 requires a C wire (common wire) for stable power. Since your current setup doesn’t have a C wire, you will need to use the Aqara C-Wire Adapter (also known as PEK+ or Power Extender Kit) or ensure your HVAC system provides a common wire.
- If your HVAC system has a spare C terminal at the furnace/air handler, you can run a new wire to the C terminal on the W200 Hub.
- If you don’t have a C wire available, you may need to install the C-Wire Adapter. Please note that for the W200, it is strongly recommended to wire the PEK+ to the SSW terminal on the Thermostat Hub W200 to ensure stable and reliable power.
Compatibility Check:
Your terminals (R, W, Y, G) are all compatible with the Aqara Thermostat Hub W200, which supports standard low-voltage (24V) HVAC systems.
If you are unsure about running new wires or installing the adapter, it might be best to consult with a professional HVAC technician to ensure the wiring is done safely and correctly.
Hope this helps you get your smart home setup running smoothly! Let us know if you have any other questions.

Any chance you can post another pic a little more straight on of the screw terminals and wires? Would also like to see where the red wire that is in the 4 wire bundle in brown jacket…is it connected to the larger red wire by chance? Also, the red and white wire in the darker brown jacket, do you know where that is going?
@phelpsjimmy Welcome to the forum!
